reception at the durham arts council, sept 7, 2006

My first artist’s reception was Thursday evening at the Durham Arts Council! What an ego boost to hear folks tell me they liked my work! It was very interesting to hear folks’ ideas about my works and how my works connected with them. I’m thrilled that seven works have already sold!

The exhibition includes a dozen small studies — textile and paper collages on 5″ x 7″ canvas, pictured below.

these are just wonderful Trish…I love what you are doing…out of curiosity, what do your 5x 7’s sell for? I’ve been mounting things on canvas but in a different way…and have recently done some new collages—have always liked your work. a big congrats on all the shows coming up and the sales!

Your studies are really fascinating! What an interesting way to work. I take it that these are studies for your larger pieces? Thank you for commenting in my blog!
